Summer in the Garden Pt. 1: An Abundance of Greens 🥬

By Bernice Ng

Our gardeners came ready to work during the July 26 and August 2 work parties. There were many tasks to be done, from hilling potatoes to gathering large harvests. We had a variety of greens and produce, such as green onions, chives, zucchini, Swiss chard, and arugula.

Our master gardener, Alex, explaining the process of hilling potatoes.

Putting a mulch layer on our bed of potatoes.

From top to bottom: a harvest of Swiss chard, holy basil, and arugula.

Thank you to all of the keen and enthusiastic gardeners that have joined us this summer season. All of your hard work helps our garden to continue thriving!

Happy gardeners 😄
