Early season planting in the garden

By Angela Hoy and Helen Shim

The last two work parties have been mainly about planting as seedlings come out of the greenhouse. So far we've planted different cold season crops: beets, chard, lettuce, green onion and leeks to name a few!

Harvesting has been a little light lately, but we have gotten a good amount of forced rhubarb to share with everyone.

Mason bees are settling into their new homes well and using the clay we have provided them.

Comfreys are blooming and they’ll be great for activating the compost!
