A Booklet of Recipes & Stories

The Riley Park community garden is a special place to many people. In 2020, four UBC students facilitated this booklet to bring the Riley Park-Little Mountain community together online in, at a time when the pandemic did not allow us to gather in person.

A wide range of community members helped us put this collection of stories and recipes together, including the Riley Park Community Garden volunteers, local chefs and bakers, fellow gardeners and UBC sociology and anthropology students from the 2020 UEFS cohort.

We hope that as you flip through the collection, you will feel inspired to try out the recipes using whatever fresh ingredients you have been growing, and that you appreciate, and maybe even relate, to the stories behind the recipes.

Greek Filling & Poutine Recipe 希腊风味馅料

Our volunteer Alexa created this delicious Greek filling recipe along with a recipe for Greek-style poutine that incorporates a Greek filling. The mandarin translation was done by our volunteer Wenwen!
