Join Alice Mac of Canoe Creek Community Kitchen as we make salsa. There is a limited number of people. Please sign up at www.rileyparkgarden.org/events . Bring your small knife and plastic cutting board as we make salsa with produce from Chris of One Love Farm. Take home your own jar of salsa. We are cooking together and ‘putting food by’.
Queen Bee Tea Party
We had a wonderful time at our Queen Bee Tea Party! We had a pollinator bingo station led by Lori, Madame bee Speaker. A butterfly pathway and herbal garden tour by master gardener Selina. And a pollinator rock painting station by Shahira. Delicious snacks and treats were provided by The Honey Shoppe, Silva and Selina. Thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to this event!

Farmers Market Donation Station - volunteer and donate
Volunteer at our table on Saturday August 7. Let’s inform our community on our food programs and how we are helping to feed those who need help at this time. Shoppers donate funds and produce; farmers donate produce at the end of the day. Funds support our weekly food distribution program providing much needed local, fresh produce. Volunteer shifts from 9:30 - 2:30. Email Joanne. for more information.
Queen Bee Tea Event
Hey garden friends, you are invited to a fun and informative interactive tea party at the Riley Park Community Garden. It’s free and suitable for the whole family! We will be showcasing our new pollinator maps and Bingo cards. We will also be unveiling our produce library art panels. Delicious tea and treats will be served. Costumes encouraged: Be a bee, butterfly or bug! Wear your best florals and garden hats!
