The RBC Work Party: from Anisha Jhamat, RBC Advisor, Main & King Edward branch that will be leading this volunteer project.

"Volunteering is a hands-on way for RBC employees to help their community prosper. On April 23rd RBC is proud to have a team of 7 employees volunteering at Riley Park Community Garden to help plant soil and shape garden beds to promote food security and community strength. By donating our personal time, RBC Foundation will make a $1,000 donation to Little Mountain Neighbourhood House."

“As a member of this community I am very excited and passionate to be working with the Riley Park Community Garden! I truly believe in the importance of sustainable growth and strengthening community engagement. RBC will be working with the Community Garden on a regular basis to support this wonderful opportunity”

Strand Cheque Presentation

“The team from the Little Mountain Neighbourhood House Society did an excellent job planning The Riley Park Community Garden and upon completion, it will be an invaluable asset to the community where the neighbourhood can gather, learn and socialize. Realizing the importance of organization, planning and leadership in the success of volunteer initiatives, Strand is proud to be the supporters of what will be an invaluable community asset. We look forward to visiting the garden upon completion and we hope that it can be used as a model to influence the completion of similar projects elsewhere in Vancouver in  the future.”   - Mike Mackay (President Strand Development)
