Cooking Recipes and Stories

Created by Esme Stumborg, Audrey Medwayosh, Brynn Valentine & Ella Kim Marriot.

The Riley Park community garden is a special place to many people. The students of UBC created content for this page to bring together the Riley Park community online, ,since the circumstances due to COVID-19 do not allow us to gather in person.

A wide range of community members helped us put this collection of stories and recipes together, including the Riley Park Community Garden volunteers, local chefs and bakers, fellow gardeners and UBC sociology and anthropology students from the 2020 UEFS cohort.

We hope that as you flip through the collection, you will feel inspired to try out the recipes using whatever fresh ingredients you have been growing, and that you appreciate, and maybe even relate, to the stories behind the recipes.
